Broadcast House Sales Director Jill Masek completed training in the Rising Through The Ranks program this month in Nashville. For two days - August 9-10 - women in radio management or those aspiring to move into a management position worked to enhance their overall knowledge and skills.
Through sessions focusing on things like "Managing Up, Down & All Around" and "Networking vs Not Working", participants were treated to practical and real-world skills that they can use right away.
"The RAB team team and I look forward to bringing these motivated individuals together for Rising Through The Ranks every year," RAB president and CEO Erica Farber said, "This year's group was exposed to new strategies, tactics and experiences for them to put to use immediately and to help them plan for their continued growth and involvement in the radio industry."
The group also heard from several featured speakers, including Kristen Cantrell of Seven Mountains Media and CapCity Communications, Kelli Frieler of Leighton Broadcasting, Jessica Frost of BMI, and award-winning artist Trisha Yearwood.
This year's Rising Through The Ranks program - the 15th annual - was put on by RAB, in conjunction with Broadcast Music, Inc., Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, Inc., and Xperi.
