The Nebraska Broadcasters Association, in partnership with the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio, announced the first mentor and mentee for a new MIW Mentorship Program.
For the first year of the program, Maria Hansen, Promotions Director for Broadcast House, will be mentored by Jessie Johnson, General Manager of Flood Communications' KKPR and KXPN in Kearney.
“I'm thrilled to be selected as the inaugural mentee,” remarked Hansen. “I’m so looking forward to this exciting opportunity to learn from my mentor and many other accomplished women in radio, and help kickstart what is sure to be a successful program for many years to come. What an honor!”
The MIW Mentorship Program offers a cost-free opportunity for one NBA member mentee to be matched with a mentor from a different NBA company, so that the mentor can assist the mentee in realizing their goal of rising through the tanks to become a senior radio manager.
